I really dont understand how this happened. Even though I was aware of the yaoi-esque qualities ever since it was announced a while back, lately, I heard it kicked a lot of ass, so those two qualities canceled each other out and I decided to watch it.
.. Well, it really DOES kick a lot of ass. As a guy, I tend to ignore things that scream out yaoi (though I’ll get to Loveless one of these days because Usagiko told me to) or things that have more than 3 bishie lead male characters (Fruits Basket gets exemption). The Opening was a bit out there, but the animation looked well done, so I plugged on (Dont worry, I watched Strawberry Panic right after). In the end, I enjoyed the character designs, I was glad that there’s at least some female parts in this, the animation, I enjoyed, the story’s got mucho potential, and the surprise at the very end is what’ll keep me coming back -*Spoiler*=> God, that was cute-. Hell, I’ve been thinking that I might even reguarly blog this. I really like shows that make a good first impression, and this one hit it right on the dot.
Now I haven’t read the manga, so I cant really say whether its loyal to the manga or not but next time I go to Borders (Marry me, Borders), I’m picking this up and checking it out even if i get an occasional stare -Which I get regardless of what I’m reading. Something about an asian sitting in a chair engrossed in manga gets some looks.-
